About 720 participated in Rossmoor Elementary School’s Family Science Day on Saturday afternoon in kid-friendly experiments and activities that fueled students’ interest in earth, life and physical sciences.
Activities included bubble-blowing with dry ice, bottle rockets, tinkering with batteries to understand magnetism, pinhole planetariums made out of film canisters that show different constellations, and making sherbet ice cream and apple cider to learn about chemical reactions.
