4306 5th Ave, Los Angeles has been transformed from a dark and dingy house, to a restored and completely renovated home. Is has all of the beautifully modern features, while also still maintaining the original character.
Situated in Leimert Park, the area offers a close-knit community, with history and culture. It is considered the hub of the African-American arts scene in Los Angeles with an abundance of blues and jazz clubs, hip hop performances and poetry readings. Also nearby is an incredibly nice mall (Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza), the annual Martin Luther King Day Parade, a farmer’s market, and many notable restaurants.
To fully appreciate the appeal of Leimert Park, you must stop by the area to see for yourself. Come by our open house this Sunday October 19th, 2014, and check out all that the surrounding area has to offer!
This completely refurbished home in Leimert Park is beautifully redone, but also still maintains some of the original characteristics (i.e. built-ins!). To fully appreciate this transformation, we’re going to share the before and after pictures of this phenomenal home.
Originally, the exterior was run down and needed some TLC.
The sellers gave it some fresh paint, and did some work on the landscaping for this dramatic result:
At this point, I wasn’t sure it was even possible that the inside would have an even bigger wow factor. Wow, was I wrong! The before picture shows how dark the living room was; the built-ins needed paint, and the fireplace needed some work.
This transformation literally took my breath away. My eye was drawn to those beautiful built-ins, then to that gorgeous mantle over the fireplace, down to the stunning new dark hardwood floors, and over to the expansive window, which let in TONS of natural light.
The dining room transformation is not any less disappointing. Below is what it looked like before the renovation.
Before the transformation it was difficult to notice the built-ins and crown molding. But now, they stand out and make a statement.
It is very difficult to say where the most dramatic change occured after the renovation. However, the kitchen is definitely a contendor. To say it needed updating was an understatement.
Now it is completely updated from top to bottom, with a neutral color palate.
The bathroom not only received similar upgrades as the kitchen, but a 2nd bathroom was also added.
And after…
Since the bedrooms were so dark before the renovation, the new hardwood floors and mirror closet doors really help to add to the wow factor and to substantially lighten up the room.
It doesn’t even look like it is the same room now!
Behind the house, there is a separate building for the garage and a bonus room (with a fireplace). Previously, it was run down, and quite frankly, just wasn’t very nice to look at.
Post-renovation, it has been painted and cleaned up. The garage door has also been replaced.
Although there aren’t any before pictures of the 400 square foot bonus room, the interior is stunning and has a ton of character.
In additional to all of the aesthetic changes, the plumbing has also been upgraded, in ground irrigation with automatic sprinkler system has been added and a new air conditioning and heating system has been installed. The attention to detail on these upgrades is something you must see for yourself! Please stop by our open house tomorrow, Sunday October 19th from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm.
